Hints of Spring
Current mood: calm
Spring creeped up upon us this weekend. The weather was a wonderful 70 degrees with almost no wind. It was a great treat to have such fine weather. Many people took advantage of the good weather and went outside. I didn't take as much advantage as I would have liked. Working on the weekends doesn't help when you want to have fun.
I did however go to PLAY on Queens Blvd. to celebrate the birthday of my best friend Chenal (Nelly). It was nice to see some old faces and hang out with new ones. PLAY was not my choice... I knew that the place would be crappy but Nelly's friends wanted to go badly. PLAY is a bowling, pool, bar, and lounge. They also have bouncers, a dress code, and many rules. Gary wasn't interested in going because of the dress code. Shit, I don't blame him. I can understand carding people for the bar, but it was too much. They just want to pretend like they are a night club. Friends who came over after us had some difficulty getting in. They were only letting in couples and girls. (Pretty dumb.) Around 2 am Monique's friends showed up. I warned her about "couples only" but she didn't listen to me. Unfortunately, she walked out of PLAY and wasn't allowed back inside. Her fault, I warned her. The crew liked the music, but there was nowhere for them to dance. I personally don't care, but they wanted to dance. Overall, we basically drank, (some ate) and played pool for the night. Next time, we'll just go to a bar or pool hall.

I was welcomed "home" that night by Gary and his boys (Anthony, Luis, Manny, & Jason.) They're an awesome, silly bunch. Gary's mother gave me the first flowers from her garden. They are small, but it's a true sign that Spring is almost near. I tried to do some Role-playing but it didn't turn out well. I suck. haha
